Lake Havasu City, AZ

For MDW we decided to try some place new - Lake Havasu City, AZ. This spot has been on our radar for a couple months now and certainly more so as the heat picks back up in AZ. So we made plans with our buddy Parker who would meet us there, filled up our cooler with some Pacificos and Liam’s homemade salsas, packed up the Cherry Bomb (our converted van, separate blog post to come introducing that UNIT), and headed west. Oh! And as an added bonus, Liam got to pick up his side by side before left.

Now this place had every toy to known to man - you’ve got cigarette boats, wake boats, side by sides, dune buggies, dirt bikes, and trucks with some big a** lifts. A grownups playground with all types of people watching, surrounded by 360 views of mountain landscapes. I mean this place looked like the ‘MX vs ATV unleashed’ video game with how many trails there were.

The lake is super accessible even without a boat. So while we rented a boat for one day, we were also able to take the Polaris down to the shore the other day. We mainly ate at our AirBnb, except for the sandwiches we secured from Ed’s Deli - shout out Ed. Then late night, we hit the town. Spent back to back nights at ‘Flying X’s’ aka the western bar aka you better know how to two-step or the locals will show you up. We sure as heck gave it go - no matter how many times Rachel splashed her drink on the dance floor.

There will be a next time and we will know the two-step and Parker will buy a bike.

All the best & HEAD WEST.
